Two Kansas high school students are winners of the 2012-2013 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship at Wichita State University. Joseph McNorton, a senior at Seaman High School in Topeka, and Brittan Smith, a senior at Salina Central High School, are the recipients.

The largest retailer of Kansas State University apparel will make Salina its first home outside Manhattan in the coming months. Steve Levin, general manager of Varney’s, said the company will open a store in September at Salina’s Central Mall.
