New high school rankings

The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association released its newest rankings Monday afternoon. The most noticeable changes for area teams comes in Class 2A, where the Plainville boys dropped three spots, suffering their first loss of the season to non-KSHSAA-affiliated WIchita-Word of Life, 63-48.

Six Indians on WAC first team

The Hays High School girls’ tennis team has already enjoyed the greatest season in school history. The Indians, under first-year coach Brett Jensen, won the first WAC girls’ tennis title at Hays High last week.
