Twirling with her mother was one of the best moments of Lauren Meis’ life. Lauren, 18, had been baton twirling since the age of 3 when she began learning from her mother, Shannon, owner and operator of Shannon’s Stars Twirling Club in Salina.

Hays High golfers finish third

SALINA — The Hays High School girls’ golf team had the best nine-hole score in school history at Tuesday’s Salina Central Invitational — and took third.
