Seaman student wins WSU Scholarship

Two Kansas high school students are winners of the 2012-2013 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship at Wichita State University. Joseph McNorton, a senior at Seaman High School in Topeka, and Brittan Smith, a senior at Salina Central High School, are the recipients.

Kansas Seniors Win WSU Jabara Scholarship

Joseph McNorton, Seaman High School in Topeka, and Brittan Smith, Salina Central High School, will receive $20,000 each to further their education.

South steps up

Thanks to Jorge Cabrera, the “in” color at South High School this year is orange. Since the 16-year-old sophomore was diagnosed in spring 2011 with leukemia, orange, which represents leukemia awareness, adorns more than 300 T-shirts sold in a fundraiser for the Cabrera family.
